Advent this year was super fun and we packed a lot of holiday cheer into the 24 days of advent. This year I made stockings for us that all matched. Thayer wrote his first ever letter to Santa and gave it to him. We picked out our ornaments for the tree - Justin picked out a fox in honor of the YouTube hit "What Does the Fox Say?" Thayer and I made snowflakes. We made them even better this year by using clear nail polish and adding glitter. We took the kids to Fantasy Lights in Spanaway. Thayer helped with shopping in his dragon costume and roared at people prior to wishing them Feliz Navidad. The boys made Christmas tree art - we used the bottoms of cups to make the trees and the ornaments were from their fingerprints. I had my fist Pinterest Fail when we tried to make ornaments for the many birds frequenting our backyard. We decorated every door in the house, made a snowscape and created a birdhouse for Grandpa. We painted Christmas ornaments, hosted a kids cookie decorating party and took a trip to Portland where we rode on the Polar Express. This was a holiday season to remember, and Thayer is already looking forward to next year. Phew...what a lot or work and fun.
